Outside my window…
Darkness.

I am thinking…
about healthy living and cold season.

I am thankful for…
my life. So many moments have brought me to this one. I am a work in progress. Like everyone else. We are only completed in God. It’s having the humility and grace to recognize this incompleteness, this imperfectness, that can make us perfectly human.

I am pondering…
relationships.

Living a green/frugal lifestyle…
Being busy and rushed has put me behind in handling our finances. Even though I have most bills set up automatically, and we’ve stayed in our budget, I think we’re not as mindful when we’re not checking on our finances weekly.

From the kitchen…
Time for me to get into sourdough making. Yup, that’s my goal for this week.

I am creating…
plans for the holidays – yes, already! This year, I want to spend time baking with the kids, making crafts, and enjoying the holiday offerings locally.

I am going…
to mass and for a long run at a local wildlife refuge.

I am reading…
my new iPad. My mom gave me her old one last weekend. I’ve had a blast downloaded digital editions of my magazine subscriptions, plus free ones like Mainline Parents.

Living A Healthy Lifestyle…
We’ve had colder temperatures in the Philly area this past week, plus rainy weather which means my home has been closed up more to keep everyone warm without turning on the heat. A closed home also means more germs hanging around. I’ll be sharing one of the most important preventative measures for colds and the flu tomorrow on my blog.

I am hoping…
For a fabulous week!

I am hearing…
The History Channel.

Around the house…
Time to pull out more cold weather clothes for my running and for the kids. As I pull things out, I’m pulling out clothes for the Goodwill pile.

We’re also decorating for Halloween! My 4 year old has been a big help with the decorating. This afternoon we’ll be working on the lights around the front entry.

Around the yard…
We’ve been scrounging late season produce from the garden along with cleaning up the flower beds and trimming back the hedge one last time.

One of my favorite things…
my iPad. I never would have bought it for myself, and yet, I am enjoying having my free one so much. I only have WiFi access which is fine for me.

A few plans for the rest of the week:
Scouting, soccer, cooking, and lunch duty. Oh, and school conferences.

A picture for thought…

My daughter and my son on the climbing wall at a local fall festival.
