Chores are huge part of my life as a work at home mom with 5 kids. Almost every day I’m doing 2 loads of laundry, not to mention vacuuming, cleaning up crumbs, making meals, and food shopping. Some chores I enjoy, even if it seems a little strange. You’d probably look at me funny if I told you how much I enjoy taking care of my family when I put away the cloth diapers. I’m a little sad that we’re out of the cloth diapering season.

Despite my enthusiasm for most of the chores I do or supervise, there are some chores that I would pay someone else a million dollars to do. Seriously. Unfortunately, I can’t pass these chores off on the kids. I so wish I could. Some things a mom has gotta do.

My 5 Least Favorite Chores

1. Changing the shower curtain liner.

I’m short. Even on a stool, this job is my absolute least favorite.

2. Plunging the toilet.

Unless it’s time to plunge the toilet. Yeah, that’s pretty bad, too.

3. Cleaning the kitty litter.

This one isn’t exactly fun either, and it involves poop. I’ve been cleaning up poop for 16 years.

4. Cleaning the little potty for the potty training child.

Yes, I’m thinking the same thing. I have a thing about poop.

5. Wiping the big potty used by 4 boys.

This is more of a self-defense chore.

I’m sensing a theme with your list! Folding and putting away clothes is up on my list.

No…it’s not that obvious, is it? ;)

I couldn’t agree more! I hate anything to do with cleaning up the kids bathroom. And I seriously could get a degree in plumbing school with all of the plunging I do around here!

Thanks for linking up!

A funny for you: When we went to a blogger McDonald’s event, Ronald McDonald was there, and brought along a plunger as one of his juggling items. My ds4 identified it immediately!

Laundry is my all time least favorite chore to do…because it is never done and it so annoying to pull out a shirt from dirty clothes & know that it hasn’t been worn..but not it smells.
