I’ve used all of these recipes since I started blogging in 2007. Some are completely real food, some are mostly real food, and a few are in transition. I cook just about everything from scratch now. If I do happen to include an ingredient like cream of mushroom, I make it myself from whatever I have on hand, though I used to use canned substitutes a few years ago.

I hope you enjoy my journey into real food as much as I enjoyed pulling the recipes together. If you’d like to know if a recipe is frugal, I priced out a number of recipes a few years ago. The costs may have increased, but you’ll still know if a recipe is frugal.
