1. Take pictures – lots of them.
2. Plan nothing else because it won’t get done. You need lots of margin in this week.
3. Plan easy meals. Use up leftovers.
4. Plan to have snacks on hand because there’s no extra time to make stuff.
5. You can never have enough contact paper.
6. Have the date of the kids’ last DAPT shot in your files because you’ll need this info for the medical cards for school.
7. Talk to everyone, especially if your kids are going into preK and Kindergarten.
8. Meet the moms you’ll be volunteering with during the year, and get their contact info.
9. Use the weekend to assess your routines, and make adjustments. Re-assess the following weekend.
10. Enjoy the week!

I hate to think how much oil goes into producing contact paper! I can’t believe how much we used this year. I think I went through 4 rolls. On the other hand, I could give classes on covering books and folders with contact paper since I’ve gotten the routine down so well.
