Farmers Market

If you haven’t checked your local farmers market, you still have lots of time before the season ends. Most markets close up shop in late October to early November.

Need to find a farmers market in your area?

When you go

  • Bring your own bags, recycled plastic or cloth. Some farmers will automatically put your purchase in a bag, and others won’t.
  • Bring plenty of small bills.
  • Walk around the entire market first to see what’s available.
  • Ask questions. The farmers love to share their passion for growing good food.
  • Bring your kids along, and teach them about looking with their eyes, not their hands. Bruised produce doesn’t sell.
